Job description

Residential HVAC Service Technician

Location: Louisville, KY
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay: $30-$40/hour + Commission & On-Call Pay
Earning Potential: $100,000+ annually

As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician who can confidently diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair residential heating and cooling systems while providing exceptional service to our customers.

This is an opportunity for an experienced technician who wants more than an hourly rate. With commission opportunities, overtime, and on-call pay, top-performing technicians can earn $100,000+ annually.

What You'll Do
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, and related equipment

  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and system tune-ups

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, airflow, refrigerant, thermostat, and control issues

  • Identify the root cause of system failures and recommend appropriate repairs or solutions

  • Complete repairs safely and according to manufacturer specifications and applicable codes

  • Test equipment following repairs to ensure proper and efficient operation

  • Clearly explain system issues, repair options, and recommendations to homeowners

  • Identify additional repair, maintenance, or equipment needs when appropriate

  • Complete service documentation accurately and on time

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional company vehicle

  • Participate in the on-call rotation as required

  • Provide professional, respectful service while working in customers' homes

What We're Looking For
  • Previous residential HVAC service and repair experience

  • EPA Certification - REQUIRED

  • Valid driver's license - REQUIRED

  • Strong HVAC troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

  • Experience servicing furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, and related residential HVAC equipment

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities

  • Working knowledge of refrigerant systems, airflow, thermostats, controls, and residential HVAC components

  • Ability to work independently and manage a daily service schedule

  • Ability to clearly explain technical issues and repair recommendations to homeowners

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Professional, dependable, and comfortable working in customers' homes

  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation

  • Commitment to safety and quality workmanship

Compensation & Benefits
