Ground Staff - Western Golf Properties (84035)

Closed Golf Course: Champions Club at the Retreat, Corona, CA 

Closed Golf Course: Sierra LaVerne Country Club, La Verne, CA

Summary

Western Golf Properties is the property management company for an owner with a closed golf course. To be compliant to local ordinances and fire codes, annual weed abatement, brush clearance, and low limb pruning is required. This position is typically available for 10-12 weeks, April through June.

Essential and Duties Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the National Director of Agronomy, the Ground Staff person completes projects on the (closed) golf course as directed. The scope of work for this project includes: 

Weed Abatement using powered string trimmers, 

Minor trimming of dead or over-hanging limbs with power and hand tools. 

Other duties and tasks may be assigned as the project requires.

o i.e.: cleaning the storage area, trash removal, and other tasks as required or directed by the supervisor.

This is a seasonal, part-time position that is available during annual weed abatement as required by local agencies. 

Requirements

Requirements:

Minimum 2 Year previous work experience preferred 

Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. 

Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 40 pounds without assistance. 

Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Must be able to work outdoors in temperatures ranging approximately 60* to 105*.

o Rest breaks are provided per OSHA and company policy

Must be able to work on terrain that may be flat or uneven, on dirt, grass, weeds, and brush.

Must be able to work 32-40 hours per week. Work is scheduled, Monday-Saturday, until complete.
