About Us:

Founded 20 years ago and headquartered in Chicago, the DV Group of financial services firms has grown to more than 600 people operating throughout North America, Europe and Asia. Since spinning out of a large brokerage firm in 2016, DV Trading has rapidly scaled as an independent proprietary trading firm utilizing its own capital, trading strategies, and risk management methodologies to provide liquidity to worldwide financial markets and hedging opportunities to commodity producers and users. Now, DV group affiliates include two broker dealers, a cryptocurrency market making firm, and a bourgeoning investment adviser.

Overview:

DV is looking for a Credit Risk Analyst to lead its counterparty and credit risk management function by evaluating clients, counterparties, and credit investments while identifying, measuring, and mitigating risk across the firm's global trading activities. This role will partner closely with senior leadership to enhance the firm's credit risk framework, deliver actionable risk insights, and support strategic decision-making as DV continues to expand its products and markets.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead Counterparty and Credit Risk Management practice at DV Trading by engaging business partners to perform diligence and credit risk analysis of clients, counterparties, and credit investments (such as corporate bonds or loans)
  • Own and develop a Credit Risk framework and advise senior leadership on our evolving trading business and strategic oversight to develop leading risk metrics and appropriately measure and manage emerging risks and products
  • Recommend internal credit risk ratings based on a firmwide model and prepare written assessments to substantiate the periodic credit review for rating upgrades/downgrades
  • Perform portfolio reviews and evaluate potential exposures
  • Co-Lead the Credit Risk Committee with the CFO and CRO by preparing materials that clearly communicate Counterparty and Credit Risk Analytics to senior management by building your own data, metrics, trends, and recommendations
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in counterparty or credit risk management with a preference for experience in the proprietary trading industry
  • Preference for prior experience in credit risk for analyzing commodities producers/consumers, digital assets, and financial institutions
  • Confidence to resolve complex client challenges or learn new products by collaborating with business partners
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SQL, Python, data visualization tools
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, including navigating leadership and interpersonal working relationships

Benefits:

  • Discretionary bonus eligibility
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • HSA, FSA, and Dependent Care Options
