Hourly Data Analytics information

What is hourly data analytics?

Hourly data analytics refers to the process of collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data on an hourly basis to monitor trends, performance, and patterns within that specific timeframe. This approach is commonly used in industries such as retail, IT, and manufacturing to spot hourly fluctuations, optimize operations, and make timely decisions. Hourly data analytics can help organizations quickly identify issues or opportunities and respond proactively, improving overall efficiency and outcomes.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an hourly data analyst, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Hourly Data Analyst, you need strong analytical abilities, proficiency with data manipulation, and a foundational understanding of statistics, often supported by a degree in a quantitative field. Familiarity with tools such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization platforms like Tableau or Power BI is typically required. Attention to detail, problem-solving, and effective communication are crucial soft skills that set top performers apart. These skills and qualities are important to ensure accurate data insights, efficient task completion, and clear reporting to stakeholders.

What are some common challenges faced in an hourly data analytics role, and how can I prepare for them?

In an hourly data analytics role, a common challenge is managing multiple short-term projects with tight deadlines, as tasks often shift based on immediate business needs. You'll need to quickly analyze datasets, generate actionable insights, and communicate findings to different stakeholders, sometimes with limited context. To succeed, focus on honing your time management, adaptability, and clear communication skills. Being comfortable with learning new analytics tools on the fly and collaborating with cross-functional teams will also help you thrive in this dynamic environment.

Guided by our core values—Caring, Inclusive, and Courageous—we foster a culture that inspires our people to achieve common goals. Together, let's build a brighter, healthier future for all.

The Sr. Specialist for Quality Data Analytics maintains master data integrity within the ERP system for ingredient and finished product specifications while building AI-enabled early-warning systems to detect process anomalies. You will design well-documented data models that integrate ERP and laboratory information systems to trigger risk-mitigating actions across cross-functional teams. This role is vital for bridging technical datasets with operational excellence, providing automated dashboards and insights that ensure manufacturing-ready formulations and robust production monitoring.

  • Manufacturing Intelligence: Develops AI-enabled early-warning systems to identify process anomalies, leveraging automated alerts to lead cross-functional teams in implementing timely risk-mitigating actions.

  • Data Engineering: Designs and aggregates complex manufacturing datasets from ERP and laboratory information systems into documented, actionable data models for the Quality organization.

  • Cross-Functional Integration: Partners with Product Development, Procurement, and Analytical Services to ensure seamless nutrient data flow and provides insights to optimize product formulations for manufacturing consistency.

  • Reporting & Visualization: Builds automated dashboards to communicate technical SAP-derived trends and analytical findings to plant leadership and non-technical stakeholders to drive a culture of data-informed excellence.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in ERP Data Management or Data Analytics or 2 + years of relevant experience with a Master’s degree.

  • Experience building or working within data analytics and/or AI computing platforms.

  • Demonstrated expertise in developing actionable strategies from data-driven trends and potential quality issues.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree or Professional Certification in Data Analytics or Data Engineering.

  • Understanding of food or pet food production facilities and associated Quality Assurance programs.

  • Advanced proficiency with data transformation and modern AI tools.

  • Familiarity with SAP PDM or SAP HUP.
  • Acute focus on data integrity, specifically understanding how data errors in SAP translate to nutritional imbalances in final products.
