What You Will Do:
As a Data Analyst / Visualization Consultant, you will help transform complex operational and infrastructure data into meaningful insights that inform programs, policies, and performance decisions. You will work on high-visibility initiatives, using modern analytics, visualization, and automation tools to improve how data is collected, analyzed, communicated, and acted upon. This role offers the opportunity to build practical solutions that make information easier to understand, streamline manual processes, and deliver measurable value for stakeholders.
  • Collect, clean, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
  • Design and develop workflow applications and automated processes using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline manual processes through automation.
  • Translate business needs into analytical, reporting, and workflow requirements.
  • Test, troubleshoot, document, and maintain dashboards, applications, and automated workflows.
  • Identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and data-quality issues.
  • Communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and multidisciplinary project teams.

What You Will Need:
  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DHS "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred
  • Bachelor's degree
  • One (1) or more years of experience in data analysis, reporting, business intelligence, data visualization, automation, or application development.
  • Experience developing dashboards or visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
  • Experience developing workflow applications and automations using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a client-facing consulting environment.

What Would Be Nice To Have:
  • Experience with SQL, Excel, Power Query, or other data preparation tools.
  • Working knowledge of data preparation, validation, analysis, visualization, and workflow design.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into dashboards, applications, or automated workflows.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience developing interactive dashboards and performance reports.
  • Familiarity with financial, operational, infrastructure, or performance data.
  • Experience supporting public-sector organizations.
  • Familiarity with data-quality checks and repeatable reporting processes.
  • Experience working in an Agile or iterative delivery environment.
