Job Description:

This intermittent call in research assistant will conduct short term chemical biology research using small-molecule probes to investigate biological targets and mechanisms. Responsibilities include experimental design and execution, data analysis, coordination of collaborative studies, research documentation, and preparation of manuscripts, figures, presentations, and project reports, with minimal daily oversight.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/experience/licensing:
B.S. in medicinal chemistry, chemistry, chemical biology, pharmaceutical sciences, biochemistry, or a closely related field is required with at least 3 years of post-bach training.
Research experience in chemical biology and the development or application of small-molecule probes is required.
Experience with photoaffinity labeling, click chemistry, affinity enrichment or purification, gel-based protein analysis, fluorescence imaging, chromatographic methods, and data analysis is preferred.
Experience preparing scientific manuscripts and presenting research findings is preferred.
Communication and other skills:
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Ability to independently plan, execute, troubleshoot, and document experiments with minimal oversight.
Ability to analyze complex data, prepare publication-quality figures, and write research articles and reports.
Ability to collaborate effectively with chemists, biologists, analytical scientists, and other research personnel.
Strong organizational, time-management, and mentoring skills.
