Job description

We are looking for Mechanical Assemblers to join our eMobility team. This position will be based in Knightdale, NC.

As a Mechanical Assembler you will be responsible for the building, assembling, and wiring of all assemblies and sub-assemblies related to DC vehicle chargers.

Shift Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm

Hourly Rate: $19.76

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience performing mechanical assembly or experience in the mechanical field

  • 1+ year of experience working with standard hand and power tools, both pneumatic and battery operated

  • Knowledge of torque wrench and applied torque values

  • Experience with using a tape measure and other measuring devices

  • Able to Identify mechanical parts and electrical components

  • Capable of safely performing physical labor in a manufacturing environment while meeting all job requirements.

  • Must be able to reach, grasp, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull/slide materials.

  • Ability to work standing for the entire shift and perform physical tasks including stooping, bending, squatting, crawling, sitting and climbing.

  • Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.

  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer - sponsored work authorization.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma / GED

  • SAP experience

  • Proven record in Quality and Productivity

    You'll make a difference by:

  • Assembly and wire DC charger cabinets, dispensers, sub-assemblies, parts kits, and aftermarket parts orders

  • Perform Sub assembly work including mechanical assembly of steel and components, control wiring, power cable work, and interconnection of control wires

  • Record appropriate job record transactions

  • Read BOM, follow layouts & assembly drawings

  • Set and correct use of Torque wrenches

  • Adhere to developed processes, methods and/or seek ways to improve

  • Must adhere to all safety rules and keep safety first for self and others

  • Perform miscellaneous other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management

You should be proficient in:

  • Blueprint Reading
