Description

RUBICON TECHNICAL SERVICES is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join our team in Kennesaw. This is a full-time, on-site position within the Facilities Services industry, offering a competitive hourly rate of $52–$58 USD. As an Electrical Commissioning Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of electrical systems across commercial and industrial facilities.

In this role, you will be responsible for verifying, testing, and validating electrical installations and systems to ensure they meet design specifications and operational requirements. Working closely with project managers, engineers, and field technicians, you will contribute to the successful delivery of facility projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. Your efforts will directly impact the long-term performance and reliability of critical building infrastructure.

Responsibilities


* Responsible for Witnessing Installation, start-up, and testing of critical power equipment including, but not limited to:
  *Generators
  *Uninterruptible Power Supplies
  *Switchgear (Low and Medium Voltage)
  *Transfer Switches
  *PLCs
  *Bus ducts
* Responsible for procedure generation for functional performance testing, as well as SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs
* Client/Client representative interaction for given projects.
* Electrical micro-schedule and load bank plan generation for individual projects.
* Final Commissioning Report generation.
* Submittal and Specification Reviews.
 

Requirements
  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered
  • 1–3 years of experience in electrical commissioning, testing, or a related discipline
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and single-line diagrams
  • Familiarity with NFPA 70E, NEC codes, and electrical safety standards
  • Experience with testing instruments such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and power quality analyzers
  • Knowledge of commissioning processes and documentation best practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic data management tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Willingness to work on-site and occasionally adjust schedule to meet project deadlines
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required
