Job description

Hunter Industries is seeking an Electronics Test Engineer who develops, implements, and executes test plans and procedures to validate the Hunter Controller product line (Hardware, Firmware and Software).
Essential Functions:
  • Develops Hardware, Firmware and Software Design Verification Tests (DVT).
  • Designs and configures hardware test fixtures for DVT testing.
  • Executes manual and automated test scripts.
  • Conducts Hardware, Firmware and Software debugging.
  • Utilizes defect reporting systems and writes clearly stated and documented defect reports.
  • Investigates problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel.
  • Provides technical support and advice to other engineering groups as needed. Guides lower-level personnel to the set-up and performance of tests.
  • Performs quality checks on documentation (scope, requirements, specs, plans, scripts, and instructions) to ensure they meet a high-quality standard.

Education Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field of study is required or a combination of education and relevant work experience.

Experience Required:
  • Minimum of two years of experience in Hardware, Firmware and Software testing.

What You Bring:
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to create and execute detailed test plans and procedures.
  • Some Knowledge of server (web) based and Mobile application testing.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Time management skills and ability to organize one's own schedule.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate in English so that people you work with can understand you clearly, particularly in technical conversations.
  • Some Knowledge of Electronic Engineering Design Practices.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
  • Familiarity with measurement tools such as an Oscilloscope, Multimeter, and Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer.
  • Some Knowledge of test script creation and executing manual and automated test scripts.
  • Ability to solder/desolder PCB surface mount components.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical hardware
