What is an hourly BCBA insurance provider?

An Hourly BCBA Insurance provider is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who offers applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy services on an hourly basis and works with insurance companies for client reimbursement. These professionals typically assess and develop behavior intervention plans for individuals with behavioral or developmental challenges, such as autism, and coordinate billing with insurance companies according to their hourly rates. This model allows clients flexibility in scheduling therapy sessions while ensuring that services are covered by their health insurance plans, subject to policy terms and authorizations.

What does an hourly BCBA with insurance billing do?

You will collaborate closely with RBTs, families, and administrative staff to coordinate care and ensure accurate and timely data collection for billing purposes. Navigating insurance billing can be challenging, as it requires meticulous record-keeping and frequent communication with both clinical and administrative teams to ensure compliance with payer guidelines. This role offers opportunities to deepen your expertise in clinical documentation and multi-disciplinary teamwork, which can support future advancement into supervisory or administrative roles.
