Job description

As an independent, family-owned business, DMSi specializes in ERP Software for the Building Materials Industry. Used at over 2,500 locations across North America, Agility helps manage every aspect of the business, from purchasing and receiving to order fulfillment, warehousing, delivery, invoicing, and accounting, allowing businesses to modernize and improve efficiency in every aspect of their operation.
As the Business Application Specialist, you will work closely with our customers and their various departments (Finance, Operations, Sales, Service, and Purchasing) to analyze problems as a subject matter expert helping to bridge the gap between software applications and business processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  1. Develop and maintain an understanding of the software application to support users and provide solutions that optimize their business process.
  2. Works directly with users on issues submitted to ensure they are addressed in a timely manner.
  3. Problem solve, using critical thinking and technology to recommend innovative ideas addressing different business issues that can be complex in nature.
  4. Research, analyze, and troubleshoot reported issues, collaborating with various departments to find a solution.
  5. Create and maintain documentation when needed to ensure end users are optimally utilizing applications.
  6. Conduct training on current functionality and new features to enhance user experience.
  7. Participate in or lead projects to support business applications and implement changes to enhance functionality; assist with rollout to end users.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
College degree in Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, Finance, MIS, other related fields or equivalent work experience.
WORK EXPERIENCE AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Normal office environment with use of computers and telephone systems; no unusual physical demands.
Travel to customer locations including overnight, business air travel, and car rental.
