Duties and Responsibilities
The Youth Mobilizer position is a full-time position that will begin on or around August 15, 2026. This position is grant-funded for 3 years with anticipated continued funding.
The Youth Mobilizer would be responsible for the following activities:
  • Plan and lead two summer youth programs: Leaders-In-Training and Summer Leaming Program.
  • Coordinate implementation of Grey Matter/Blues Program, a school-based group prevention program.
  • Lead the Youth Advisory Council as part of SCRC's coalition and in collaboration with the SCRC Coordinator.
  • Supervise staff, interns, and volunteers for youth programs.
  • Assist in the dissemination of SCRC's information to key leaders, schools and other youth service providers and the public.
  • Represent SCRC and the coalition to the larger community, serving as the primary community contact for youth activities.
  • Provide needed documentation for grant proposals, reports, concept papers and other materials needed to obtain continued/increased SCRC and youth funding.
  • Help support Hound Packs weekend feeding program.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in social work or related field.
  • Acceptable child abuse, criminal history & FBI clearance, valid driver's license, and access to reliable transportation.
  • Prior experience working with youth.

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in social work and two years of post-degree experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to:
    • build collaborative relationships with community partners, schools, and youth-serving organizations,
    • plan and implement engaging youth programming,
    • apply effective behavioral management strategies in group settings,
    • manage multiple deadlines and program deliverables with consistency,
    • work with grant-funded programs and program budgets, and supervise staff, interns, and/or volunteers.
