ABOUT THE JOB:
KMG hotels is seeking a Sales Manager for the Courtyard by Marriott Olathe, Kansas. This is an excellent position to grow with a company that has multiple hotels in the Kansas City area. OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Sales Manager is responsible for soliciting, developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing accounts to generate business and meet/exceed room revenue goals. Target specific markets and or accounts as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Assists the General Manager in analyzing the hotel's Revenue Management strategy using such tools as Star Reports, demand analysis and applicable front office systems.
  • Organizes, maintains, and inputs sales data.
  • Thorough understanding and execution of the sales call process.
  • Be well informed about the market.
  • Must have well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Form client working relationships with the premier businesses in the market.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, processing software, spreadsheet software and internet.
  • Conduct direct sales solicitation through phone calls, email communication, appointments, site tours and lunches.
  • Develop and maintain exceptional relationships with specified accounts to create trust, loyalty and lasting business relationships.
  • Follow up on all leads in a timely manner.
  • Have a great eye for detail.
  • Be informed about daily operations.
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work with minimum supervision.
  • All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Previous hotel sales and/or Marriott experience preferred but not required.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:
  • Valid Driver’s License and transportation to and from work required.
