The targeted hiring range for this position is $12.93 - $16.83 per hour depending on qualifications; however, the expanded salary range provides opportunities for advancement. Job Description
In conjunction with the Rooms Manager, this role is primarily responsible for leading housekeeping functions on assigned shifts to ensure the cleaning and upkeep of hotel rooms according to established standards, as well as to achieve effective and efficient supervision of staff; Including to promote a positive image of the property to guests by maintaining cleanliness by presenting as pleasant, honest, and friendly to ensure high standard of guest service and satisfaction.
Essential Duties include:
  • Supervise and inspect work performed to ensure that it meets specifications and established standards.
  • Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities to determine the type of work required.
  • Issue assignments to staff reviewing special requests and areas of concentration to ensure a smooth flow of the housekeeping operation.
  • Investigate, respond, and/or take corrective action to guest requests, concerns, and problems to ensure high guest satisfaction.
  • Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure that services are provided in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Perform or assist with Rooms Division cleaning or other duties as needed.
  • Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.

Qualifications
2 years related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to maintain sanitation procedures and organization of work area adhering to all OSHA and local health department regulations.
  • Must be able to work any shift, weekends, holidays, and special events, as needed.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Basic office skills, experience with personal computer & Microsoft Office, general office equipment.
