Job description

Summary of Position: The Hotel Room Attendant is a critical front-line position entrusted to uphold the highest industry standards of cleanliness and sanitation with Land's End guest rooms and public areas of the hotel. A Hotel Room Attendant will stock their cleaning cart, assist the Storekeeper as directed to strip rooms of refuse and dirty linens, and to assist with the re-stocking of linen closets.

Essential Functions:

1. Help the team fulfill Land's End's Mission to "Bring Joy to Our Customers Every Day."

2. Implement the hotel's cleaning standards for public areas and guest rooms.

3. Clean and disinfect appliances: TV, radio, microwave and refrigerators.

4. Disinfect bathroom fixtures, floors and counters.

5. Vacuum, dust, mop and perform other general cleaning duties as assigned.

6. Re-supply guest room amenities and re-make beds and rooms to hotel standards.

7. Wash windows inside and out: Note: Room Attendants do not climb on ladder or chairs.

8. Re-stock cleaning carts and linen / towel storage closets as requested.

9. Wash, dry, fold and store linens as assigned.

10. Assist Head Housekeeper and management with other cleaning functions as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Must enjoy hospitality and the service industry.

2. Ability to work independently or with a team.

3. Ability to work around cleaning chemicals.

4. Ability to lift 40 lbs., bend, kneel and climb stairs, and to stand for long periods.

5. Ability to take and follow directions, and to follow fixed processes, procedures, and policies.

6. Proficiency with basic typing, computer programs, and communication devices.

7. Willingness to abide by Land's End dress code and personal conduct polices.

8. Must be able to work weekends.
