Job description

Position: Cocktail Server- Hotel Indigo El Paso, TX
Job Description:
The Cocktail Server will interact with guests in a positive and professional manner, serve beverages and/or food to the guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner.
Required Skills and Requisites:
  • Ability to obtain any government-required license or certificate.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages. Liquor certification if required by the state or local government.
  • Service orientation. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Working weekends and holidays required.
  • High School Diploma required.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Greets guests in courteous and friendly manner.
  • Promotes and documents orders for drinks.
  • Inputs orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest, including those served by other beverage servers.
  • Processes all payments for beverage purchases and ensures accuracy of said payments in order to balance all monies.
  • Performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to Health Department regulations.
  • Must be aware of and adhere to all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
