Job description

The Hotel Hartness is actively searching for and immediately hiring efficient, detailed, and self-motivated Housekeepers / Guest Room / Laundry Attendants to join our housekeeping team.

Both full time and part time opportunities are available with flexible scheduling.

Job Summary:

  • Report to supervisor for daily tasks and room assignment.
  • Collect any information regarding guest requests, to-do items, and an accurate list of check-ins and outs for the day.
  • Clean all guestrooms to the satisfaction of the housekeeping supervisor and in accordance with the standards and policies of the company.
  • Keep cart inventory stocked and organized at all times.
  • Maintain Laundry area and storage closets, keeping them cleaned and organized at all times.
  • Ensure all guest room floors, hallways, and public areas are cleaned.
  • Adhere to all Safety and Security policies and procedures outlined by the housekeeping department and the company.

About Hotel Hartness and Patterson Kitchen + Bar

Hartness Living, the Greenville area's most exciting and architecturally stunning traditional neighborhood development, will be home to a new hospitality collection managed by Hay Creek Hotels.

The Hartness community offers a full-service elevated café, Village Kitchen, which opened Spring of 2021. With something for everyone, from a latte and avocado toast to go, to a lady's lunch turned happy hour, Village Kitchen offers a southern, wood-fired inspired menu with the convenience of casual dine in or take-out three meal periods a day.

Hotel Hartness, opening early 2023 with 73 luxury suites, meeting and event space, and world-class luxury spa. Guest rooms will be well appointed with a fresh and modern motif, offering several different suite configurations designed to appeal to a wide variety of audiences. The hotel will also include two levels of indoor and outdoor meeting and conference space options, featuring large ballroom that can host up to 300 guests. The hotel will also feature a luxurious spa designed and managed by WTS International. With six treatment rooms and a comprehensive menu of unique and creative treatments, the spa will truly be something never offered before in the Greenville area.

Just a short walk from the main hotel will be the hotel's restaurant, Patterson, opening early 2023. With a wrap-around porch and floor to ceiling windows, diners will enjoy waterside dining next to the tranquil and serene pond setting. The heart of the restaurant will be an exposition kitchen that will prepare a variety of locally and regionally inspired menu items. Village Kitchen, Patterson, and catered events are all led by locally acclaimed Executive Chef, Tanner Marino.

Hotel Specific Essential Functions:

  • Ability to remain standing for 8 hours (or 100% of shift).

Required Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be very skilled with technology and a quick learner. Working knowledge of a Property Management System preferred.
  • 1 year customer service experience required, hotel environment highly preferred.
  • Ability to work in a constructive, team working environment with a positive, upbeat and customer-focused attitude.
