Job Overview

The Marketing Manager is responsible for executing property-level marketing initiatives with a strong focus on content creation, social media management, and digital marketing support. This role plays a highly hands-on function, ensuring the hotel and its outlets are consistently and compellingly represented across all digital channels.

Working closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing, this position supports brand positioning, demand generation, and guest engagement through real-time content capture, social storytelling, website support, email marketing, and campaign execution. The Marketing Manager collaborates with on-property teams and external partners to bring the hotel's experiences to life through engaging digital content and cohesive messaging.

Responsibilities

Content Creation & Storytelling

  • Lead on-property content capture, including photography, video, and short-form storytelling across hotel spaces, guest experiences, events, and outlets
  • Produce and edit social-first content (Reels, Stories, TikTok-style video, and photography) that reflects the property's brand voice and positioning
  • Maintain a consistent content calendar aligned with seasonal programming, need periods, and brand initiatives
  • Partner with operations, F&B, and sales teams to identify and capture authentic, revenue-driving moments
  • Manage and organize digital assets, ensuring content libraries are current and accessible

Social Media Management

  • Own day-to-day social media execution, including posting, scheduling, community engagement, and performance tracking
  • Monitor and respond to guest comments, messages, and reviews in a timely, brand-appropriate manner
  • Develop and execute social campaigns, giveaways, and influencer activations in collaboration with leadership
  • Track performance metrics (engagement, reach, conversion signals) and optimize content strategy accordingly

Digital Marketing Support

  • Support website updates through CMS platforms, ensuring content accuracy, visual appeal, and SEO best practices
  • Assist in execution of email marketing campaigns, including content development, deployment, and reporting
  • Partner with agencies and internal teams on paid media and digital campaigns, ensuring alignment with property needs and content strategy
  • Monitor digital channel performance using tools such as Google Analytics and social insights, providing actionable recommendations

Campaigns & Promotions

  • Execute marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives across social, email, and web channels
  • Assist in developing campaign messaging, creative assets, and deployment plans
  • Support post-campaign analysis and reporting to inform future initiatives

Brand & On-Property Alignment

  • Ensure all content and communications reflect the hotel's brand identity and positioning
  • Collaborate with on-property teams to support activations, events, and partnerships, capturing content before, during, and after execution
  • Maintain consistency across all guest touchpoints, both digital and on-site

Tools & Systems

  • Utilize content and scheduling platforms (social media tools, CMS, CRM) to manage workflows and execution
  • Maintain organized digital asset management practices
  • Support CRM and database initiatives through content and campaign execution

TECHNICAL & FUNCTIONAL EXPERTISE

 

  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • Social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
    • Content creation and editing (photo/video)
    • Digital marketing fundamentals (email, SEO, paid media support)
    • Content management systems (CMS)
  • Proficiency with tools such as:
    • Social scheduling and analytics platforms (Brandwatch preferred)
    • Google Analytics (basic reporting understanding)
    • Website CMS experience (Verb preferred)
    • Email marketing platforms (Revinate experience is preferred)

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • All other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management

SUPERVISORY DUTIES

None (will support coordination with agencies or vendors and hotel outlet leaders)

Qualifications

Education/Formal Training

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)

 

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing, social media, or content creation roles OR education specifically in product marketing
  • Hospitality, lifestyle, or brand marketing experience strongly preferred

 

Knowledge/Skills

  • Strong eye for visual storytelling and brand consistency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and organization
  • Self-starter with a proactive, creative mindset
  • Basic understanding of marketing performance metrics

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 

  • Occasional standing and on-property movement for content capture
  • Occasional lifting of equipment or materials up to 25 lbs

  • Primarily indoor, with regular on-property presence for content capture and activations
