Full-time
Description
Summary
The Data & Insights Analyst reports to the Data & Analytics Manager. This role owns the analysis, reporting, and partner-facing data reviews that turn engage2learn's survey and district data into clear, defensible insight. This person analyzes results, builds dashboards and visualizations, and presents findings directly to district leaders. They also define the data and measurement requirements for e2L's survey systems, working with the engineering team on the build. The Data & Insights Analyst partners with the Partnerships team on partner-facing data needs and with engineering on data quality and system requirements.
Responsibilities
Survey Analysis & Reporting
  • Analyze engage2learn survey results and other ad-hoc data analysis needs, applying appropriate methods to determine whether observed differences and trends are meaningful, and building the dashboards, visualizations, and analyses partners and internal stakeholders use to track performance and growth
  • Deliver data readouts and presentations to internal and external partners translating findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences and responding credibly when the data is questioned
  • Safeguard the integrity of engage2learn's survey instruments, including validity, appropriate benchmarking, and knowing what the data does and does not support
  • Use reporting cycles as a design input, identifying what should be automated next and feed that back into system requirements

Survey Systems & Automation
  • Contribute to the migration of engage2learn's existing survey instruments into new platforms, helping translate documented scoring and reporting login into build requirements.
  • Validate the migration by back-testing historical response data through the new scoring, confirming results match, and resolving discrepancies with the engineering team before the first live cycle
  • Validate that survey and district data flows correctly and completely, identifying data quality issues and working with engineering to resolve them
  • Design and implement automation and AI-enabled workflows that reduce manual work in survey administration, data cleaning, and reporting

Cross-Team Collaboration & Support
  • Partner with the engineering team by writing clear data requirements, validating what gets built, and collaborating on shared standards for data quality and reporting
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across survey and data systems, escalating or coordinating with engineering as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements
The successful applicant will demonstrate the following competencies:
  • 4+ years in data analysis, educational research, program evaluation, or a related field
  • Comfortable with correlation, trend, and comparison analysis, and the judgement to know which method fits the question and what the results do not support
  • Fluency in at least one analysis language (Python, Stata, or R) is preferred
  • Experience building dashboards and data visualizations for non-technical audiences (QuickSight, Looker Studio, or similar BI tools)
  • Comfortable presenting data findings and analysis directly to partners or leadership
  • Working understanding of survey measurement concepts (scale construction, reverse coding, response thresholds, sampling) sufficient to protect the integrity of an existing validated instrument
  • Experience performing quality assurance or user acceptance testing on reports and data outputs, confirming they are complete, consistent, and accurate
  • Fluent with AI tools as part of daily work: uses them to accelerate analysis, draft and check code, clean data, and automate repetitive reporting, with the judgment to verify outputs rather than trust them
  • Curious about where automation can remove manual steps in survey administration and reporting, and able to build simple automations without engineering support
  • Experience building automations is preferred
  • Working knowledge of survey platforms (Qualtrics or similar) and an interest in modernizing or replacing legacy tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to synthesize and filter through detailed information, make appropriate decisions, and know when to escalate issues
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in quantitative, research, or education-related field, or equivalent experience

Opportunity Details
  • This is a full-time, exempt position.
  • This is a remote position.
  • Standard work hours are Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. with additional hours as necessary.
  • Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
  • 401K, Health Insurance plan benefits offered.
  • Full-time employees receive 6 weeks of PTO per year.
  • Background check and drug screening will be required.
