The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager in overseeing daily Front Office, Housekeeping, and Maintenance operations. This position provides leadership to hotel associates, manages operational and financial performance, and ensures exceptional guest service. The AGM assumes General Manager responsibilities when the GM is absent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, coach, and develop hotel associates.
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, performance feedback, and associate development.
  • Oversee Front Office, Housekeeping, and Maintenance operations.
  • Manage schedules, payroll, inventory, purchasing, and other administrative functions.
  • Monitor labor, expenses, and operations within established budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, brand standards, safety, and security procedures.
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally and ensure high-quality service.
  • Maintain effective communication among departments and corporate support teams.
  • Complete required operational documentation and reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hotel industry experience.
  • 2+ years supervising at least eight associates.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Hilton or Marriott experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with property management systems and basic accounting practices.
  • Must meet company security clearance requirements.

Physical & Scheduling Requirements

  • Ability to push/pull up to 60 lbs. and lift/carry up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods, bend, stretch, and reach.
  • Flexible availability, including nights and weekends.
  • Periodic overnight travel may be required.
  • This is an on-site position.
