Job description

Larkin Industries is a premier Twin Cities Print finishing company. We offer a variety of print finishing services such as die cutting, foil stamping, embossing, and more. If you are looking for a place to grow your career, we welcome you to join our team.The Press Operator performs manual and machine operator tasks in the setup, operation, and maintenance of our print finishing equipment. Experience running Bobst or similar flatbed die cutters is beneficial (not required).Job Duties/Responsibilities:Reads instructions from the job ticket, set up press based on instructions.Performs make ready and ensures quality is at customers and Larkin expectationsSets up plates, dies, and counter as required per the job instructions.Pre-set tooling for locking dies as well as stripping unit.Maintains quality control during the run and approves job to go to the next department.Keeps a close eye on waste as all product is customer supplied.Maintains the press logs and counts to ensure proper count on all jobs.Performs preventative maintenance daily, weekly, and monthly on press such as lubrication, replacement of small parts, cleaning and minor adjustments.Keep the department clean and well organized.Cross train on other equipment for coverage when needed during high workload.Input all times and counts into the computer and complete paperwork as required.Assist on equipment and in other areas.Performs other tasks as requested by supervisor or manager.Required Skills/Abilities:Verbal and written communication skills Organizational skills and attention to detailStrong troubleshooting and problem solving skillsResponsible for quality control, must meet production standardsContinual walking, standing, bending, repetitive movements for extended periods of timeAbility to take and follow instructions/directionsAbility to work OT when requiredEducation and Experience:High school diploma or equivalentExperience in mechanical or print related field is beneficial (not required)Experience Hot Stamping is beneficial (not required)Physical Requirements:Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at a timeContinual walking, standing, bending, repetitive movements for extended periods of timePass required physical, background check, and drug screening.
