What is a Hot Runner System?

A Hot Runner System is a component of plastic injection molding machines that keeps the plastic material in a molten state as it travels from the injection molding machine nozzle to the mold cavity. Unlike cold runner systems, hot runners use heated channels to maintain the temperature of the plastic, reducing material waste and improving cycle times. This system can enhance part quality, reduce production costs, and is commonly used for high-volume manufacturing of plastic products.
