Job Summary

The Hostess manages the Club’s dining room and ensure a seamless experience for our members and guests. This role is responsible for greeting members, managing reservations, and coordinating seating arrangements.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Takes reservations and assists in organizing tables and room layout according to reservations.
  • Greets and seats members as they arrive to the Club; bring menus to them.
  • Assists servers and bussers with anything they need (ex. bread, butter, water, reset tables).
  • Directs flow of traffic both to dining rooms and other areas of the Club.
  • Maintains all menus, ensuring they are clean and current.
  • Thanks members and guests; invites them to return.
  • Keeps mint jars stocked for members.
  • Keeps hostess stand and surrounding area clean.
  • Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager.
  • Attends pre-meal meetings as requested by the Food and Beverage Manager or Manager on Duty.
  • Follows CCM mission and values, including providing the best quality service possible. “Service with a Smile” is a key element in providing a positive experience.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong people-oriented skills.
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills and ability to develop conceptual alternatives.
  • Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing activities practices.
  • Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc., of the Club’s operations.
  • Is punctual and works the designated schedule.
  • Must be available to work flexible shifts and overtime if necessary.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a similar role or industry would be a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 25 pounds, with or without accommodation.
  • Requires long periods of time standing, walking, frequent bending.
