Job Summary
The Hostess manages the Club’s dining room and ensure a seamless experience for our members and guests. This role is responsible for greeting members, managing reservations, and coordinating seating arrangements.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Takes reservations and assists in organizing tables and room layout according to reservations.
- Greets and seats members as they arrive to the Club; bring menus to them.
- Assists servers and bussers with anything they need (ex. bread, butter, water, reset tables).
- Directs flow of traffic both to dining rooms and other areas of the Club.
- Maintains all menus, ensuring they are clean and current.
- Thanks members and guests; invites them to return.
- Keeps mint jars stocked for members.
- Keeps hostess stand and surrounding area clean.
- Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager.
- Attends pre-meal meetings as requested by the Food and Beverage Manager or Manager on Duty.
- Follows CCM mission and values, including providing the best quality service possible. “Service with a Smile” is a key element in providing a positive experience.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong people-oriented skills.
- Well-developed problem-solving skills and ability to develop conceptual alternatives.
- Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing activities practices.
- Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc., of the Club’s operations.
- Is punctual and works the designated schedule.
- Must be available to work flexible shifts and overtime if necessary.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a similar role or industry would be a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 25 pounds, with or without accommodation.
- Requires long periods of time standing, walking, frequent bending.
