The primary responsibility of our HOST is to spark an adventurous dining experience that leaves guests craving their return to Hawkers. You must always be friendly and responsive, with both guests and peers. You will ensure an exceptional dining experience for all our guests.
Each Host will demonstrate excellence in guest service. You are the first and lasting impression of the food, service, and vibe of the restaurant through your genuine connection with our guests.

Requirements
• Welcome and connect with guests, making all guests feel comfortable and confident that you are there to personally take care of them.
• Estimate wait time for guests to be seated using the seating software
• Text guests with the seating software or call out the name and number of the party when their table becomes available.
• Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible. Involve a manager for special seating requests.
• Seat guests based on their preference, and balance customer flow through each server section.
• Provide guests with a menu, and their server's name, and introduce the specialty drinks/dessert menu.
• Inspect the table for proper presentation and completeness.
• Relay messages to servers and server assistants as needed.
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
• Perform side work at the start, during, and end of each shift, as required by service station assignment.
• Maintain clean and organized service areas, guest areas, and Host stand.
• Interact with guests while they are waiting for a table and being seated and while walking them to their table.
• Bring menus, napkins, boosters, chairs, etc. to the table while seating guests.
• Answer the telephone in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Take 'To-Go' orders if necessary, or as directed by Leadership.
• Operate the POS.
• Make a conscious effort to foresee any special items a guest may require; assist with accommodation of special guest needs.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to frequently stand, walk, bend, squat, and reach above shoulder level.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 20 lbs.
