Front Desk Agent

Department: Front Office

Reports To: Front Office Manager

**Position Summary:**
The Front Desk Agent is the first point of contact for guests and ensures they have a positive experience from check-in to check-out. This role requires a friendly, professional demeanor, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle a variety of tasks efficiently.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Guest Services:**
- Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Check guests in and out, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
- Handle guest inquiries, reservations, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Provide information about the hotel, available rooms, rates, and amenities.
- Assist guests with transportation arrangements, restaurant reservations, and local attractions.

- **Administrative Duties:**
- Maintain accurate records of guest accounts and transactions.
- Process payments and ensure proper billing procedures.
- Answer and direct phone calls, taking messages when necessary.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to address guest requests and issues.

- **Operational Support:**
- Monitor and respond to guest reviews and feedback.
- Ensure the front desk area is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist in training new front desk staff as needed.
- Follow hotel policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.

**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is a plus.
- Proficient in computer systems and hotel management software (e.g., OPERA, PMS).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
