Construction & Site Development Project Manager

Compensation: $100,000–$130,000 DOE

A rapidly growing international entertainment and hospitality company is seeking a Construction & Site Development Project Manager to support the continued expansion of its U.S. footprint. This position is ideal for a motivated construction professional who enjoys being actively involved in the development process—from site evaluation and permitting through construction completion.

This role emphasizes construction execution, building systems, permitting, and field coordination. Working closely with senior leadership, architects, engineers, consultants, landlords, and contractors, you'll help bring exciting new hospitality venues to life while ensuring projects stay on schedule, on budget, and aligned with operational goals.

Position Summary

The Construction & Site Development Project Manager will oversee the planning, permitting, construction, and execution of new venue developments and renovation projects throughout the United States. Acting as the owner's representative, this individual will coordinate closely with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, landlords, and local agencies to ensure projects move efficiently from pre-construction through grand opening.

The successful candidate will be comfortable spending time in the field, proactively solving problems, and managing multiple projects simultaneously while working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Construction Management

• Manage projects from initial site evaluation through construction completion.
• Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, landlords, and consultants.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction quality, schedules, and progress.
• Review RFIs, submittals, change orders, punch lists, and contractor updates.
• Identify construction issues early and help develop practical solutions.
• Monitor project budgets, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Support project closeout and grand opening activities.

Site Development & Permitting

• Coordinate permitting and entitlement activities with local municipalities.
• Track permit submissions and approval timelines.
• Work with consultants to resolve plan check comments and jurisdictional requirements.
• Monitor compliance with building codes and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with due diligence, site investigations, and feasibility reviews.
• Coordinate building systems and specialty infrastructure requirements.

Project Coordination

• Maintain project schedules and status reports.
• Facilitate communication between internal leadership and external partners.
• Coordinate meetings and maintain project documentation.
• Ensure project deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
• Support multiple active development projects simultaneously.

Design Coordination

• Collaborate closely with architects, interior designers, engineers, and consultants throughout the design and construction process.
• Review architectural drawings, construction documents, and specifications to ensure alignment with operational requirements, project budgets, and construction feasibility.
• Provide practical construction input during the design phase to help identify potential issues, improve constructability, and support efficient project execution.
• Coordinate design revisions, RFIs, and consultant communications to maintain project schedules and minimize construction delays.
• Ensure design intent is successfully translated into the built environment while maintaining brand standards and operational functionality.

Qualifications

Required Experience

• 2–5 years of experience managing commercial construction or development projects.
• Experience with restaurant, retail, hospitality, entertainment, or commercial tenant improvement projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods and building systems.
• Working knowledge of permitting and municipal approval processes.
• Experience coordinating contractors, consultants, architects, engineers, and vendors.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Preferred Experience

• California construction and permitting experience.
• Hospitality, restaurant, retail, or entertainment development experience.
• Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Smartsheet, or similar project management software.
• Experience supporting multiple concurrent construction projects.
