Job description


Amery Hospital is a hiring a casual Security Officer. The Security Officer is responsible for providing and maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff of Amery Hospital & Clinic. Security Officers provide a variety of services ranging from routine patrols, emergency response, public assistance, report writing, investigative services and other duties as deemed necessary by the Manager, Security Operations. Essential functions include:
  • Patrol all areas of the hospital (internal and external) and any off-site properties owned and/or operated by Amery Hospital & Clinic on a daily basis as requested.
  • Respond to the emergency needs of the organization and its occupants when necessary.
  • Respond to routing requests of all departments of Amery Hospital & Clinic.
  • Report and investigate all incidents.
  • Keep accurate documentation of all events during a scheduled shift.
  • Responsible for quick registration for patients entering the emergency department.

Work Schedule:
Night Shift (6:00pm-6:00am)
Day Shift (6:00am-6:00pm),
Casual position is to assist in covering vacation and sick calls.
Days and shifts vary depending on department need.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Demonstrates keyboarding skill and computer knowledge
Valid, unrestricted driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
Post high school education in the field of law enforcement
One year experience in customer service
Experience in working security, Law Enforcement, Military or mental health
