Hospital Security Officer

As a Hospital Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard a high profile healthcare customer. The Hospital Security Officer is responsible for the surveillance of the client's healthcare premises and the protection of the staff, members, and visitors. A Hospital Security Professional detects and prevents any suspicious activity, observe and reports incidents, and provides customer service in a friendly and professional manner.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed02:00 PM - 10:00 PMSun02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established healthcare location protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management procedures, directing individuals to appropriate departments or services as needed.
  • Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
