As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you'll be an integral part of our treatment team, providing continuous care, supervision, and positive role modeling to patients across various age groups from adolescents to geriatrics. Working under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you'll contribute to creating a therapeutic environment that fosters patient support and well-being.

  • Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and skill acquisition programs as directed by supervising clinician or BCBA.
  • Provide one-to-one and group behavioral support to psychiatric patients.
  • Collect accurate behavioral data in accordance with treatment plans and hospital standards.
  • Document patient interactions, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical records (EMR) timely and accurately.
  • Participate in crisis prevention and intervention procedures, including verbal de-escalation and approved physical interventions when required.
  • Maintain constant awareness of patient safety risks including self-harm, aggression, or elopement behaviors.
  • Follow all hospital safety, infection control, and restraints/seclusion protocols.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including psychiatrists, nurses, therapist, and case managers.
  • Participate in treatment planning meetings as assigned.
  • Maintain active RBT certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Complete required hospital competencies, training, and continuing education.

Your Experience Matters What we’re looking for:

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Behavioral Health, Social Work, or related field preferred

Certification

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
  • CPI, Handle With Care, or equivalent crisis intervention certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
  • CPR/BLS certification required or obtained within orientation period

Experience

  • Preferred experience in:

Inpatient psychiatric or behavioral health settings

Autism spectrum or behavioral therapy program

Compensation:
