Responsibilities
How you'll make an impact in this role
  • Responsible for applying protective and decorative coatings (paint, varnish, lacquer) to interior and exterior surfaces. This includes preparing surfaces by washing, scraping, sanding, or smoothing, as well as installing, repairing, and maintaining drywall, wall texturing, and vinyl/acoustic wall coverings.
  • Maintains existing paint surfaces by matching/tinting paint products, inspects the quality of all applications to ensure customer satisfaction, and determines appropriate colors through customer consultation.
  • Safely operates and maintains various equipment, including compressors, striping machines, sandblasters, spray equipment, and heavy lift equipment (scissors/boom stage up to 80 feet). This also involves following Standard Precautions, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and properly disposing of hazardous materials.
  • Erects scaffolding, staging, ladders, and planks as needed. Also creates and applies graphics and signage layouts, ensuring compliance with DOT, Safety, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements.
  • Dedicates a portion of time to special projects, including assisting with assigned tasks, providing additional support and training to team members in basic paint trade practices, and participating in meetings, workshops, and training.
