Travel RN – Long Term Care (LTC) | Hilo, HI

Location: Hilo Medical Center – Hilo, Hawaii
Start Date: 06/08/2026
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 8 Hour Varied Shifts (Including Weekends & Holidays)

Job Description

Hilo Medical Center is seeking an experienced Long Term Care Registered Nurse for its LTC facility located on the hospital campus. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to long-term care residents, including assessments, treatments, medication administration, and coordination with physicians and nurse practitioners.

Responsibilities
  • Perform patient assessments and ongoing monitoring
  • Administer medications and treatments
  • Communicate pertinent patient updates to MD/NP
  • Admit and discharge residents
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Gastrostomy tube care
  • Urinary catheter care
  • Nebulizer treatments
  • Wound Vac management
  • CPAP and tracheostomy care
  • Complete all assigned nursing duties in compliance with facility standards
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of LTC RN experience
  • Active BLS/BCLS Certification
  • Hawaii RN License required by start date
    • Candidates without a HI license may apply upon offer acceptance
  • Must be flexible with scheduling
  • Holiday coverage required

  • Travelers must arrive by the Thursday before start date for mandatory employee health appointment on Friday
  • No guaranteed hours or shift preference
