Dover Behavioral Health System is a 104-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful Dover, Delaware area. Dover Behavioral Health System features individual units for adolescents and adults and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average, over 10,000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Dover Behavioral Health System. Essential Job Duties:
  • Repair and maintain the HVAC system and equipment for the hospital
  • Deliver general repair, painting, and maintenance of the hospital
  • Maintain inventory of all supplies throughout the facility
  • Deliver high-quality customer service to the patients, staff, and guests by identifying their needs and providing timely maintenance
  • Track maintenance requests in worker order training system (Facility Dude)
  • Carry out routine plumbing and electrical maintenance and repair
  • Prepare facility for special functions, including setting up tables, chairs, equipment, etc.
  • Respond timely to alarms and codes in accordance with safety and security policies and procedures
  • On call on a rotating schedule
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • General maintenance and repair required (performing duties in a hospital setting is a plus)
  • Sheet rock finishing and painting experience required
  • Industry certifications are a plus
  • Ability to work rotating on-call hours and holidays in a 24/7 hospital enviornment
  • Strong organization and mulitasking skills are required
