Job description

Overview

Analyzes, documents, designs, and programs Clinical Information System applications, provides enhancements and maintains current applications to meet the needs of clinicians in providing quality, cost effective care. 

Qualifications

Education: Require Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business or clinical area or equivalent in clinical field, informatics, or healthcare.   Will take experience in lieu of degree. License/certification in clinical field of expertise required.

Experience: Should be able to demonstrated competencies in the following Oracle Cerner training or equivalent business or clinical application training: Fundamental knowledge of how to configure Millennium applications in Bedrock, CCL Reporting knowledge, Basic tables and files maintenance, Web page development, Advanced coding or equivalent competency, Customer Service skills. Basic understanding of how to configure Athena Patient Accounting applications.

Additional skills/abilities: Requires excellent oral and written communication skills plus well-developed interpersonal skills. 

Ability to manage and appropriately prioritize multiple assignments in a stressful work environment. Knowledge of current standards, legislation, practices, delivery systems, documentation methods and trends in medicine.
