The Opportunity:
CACI is looking for a Network Engineer to support a United States Hospital Ship. This opportunity requires some travel.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข The Network engineer shall possess or be able to gain either a FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License or FCC Technician Class Amateur Radio License at the time of contract award. Higher levels (for example Amateur Extra) will meet this requirement. A copy of the license shall be given to hospital staff upon award.
Must be capable of working independently in uniquely challenging conditions while onboard a hospital ship. This position requires fast paced development of solutions to solve real world life altering problems around the globe. The work performed in this position will change people's lives. The on-site Network Engineer will ensure the optimal operation of the existing network system onboard.
โ€ข Services to be provided include technical support of multiple security enclaves consisting of technologies such as: Cisco routing & switching, network security systems, SATCOM connectivity fundamentals and troubleshooting, firewall, VoIP, and Wi-Fi equipment, Palo Alto firewalls, Forescout, Nutanix Acropolis, Windows Server 2019 and 2022, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows 11 PCs, and Medical Device interconnectivity.
โ€ข At the direction of MTF IT Director, be able to perform work in various IT specific capacities, in support of other divisions, performing direct Mission support outside of the position specific role.
โ€ข Position will deploy/embark aboard the hospital ship for assigned Missions and out-of-state Shipyard periods. Contractor must maintain the ability to be deployable with the ship as embedded contractor support staff for that duration.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Minimum 10 years of experience in Enterprise level IT administration and 2 years of Healthcare Informatics administration/support.
โ€ข Demonstrated expertise in all disciplines relating to Network Operations, such as but not limited to: Configuration and Provisioning of Edge equipment including switches and wireless controllers and access points, core and distribution layer switching, routing with emphasis on OSPF and MPLS, Firewall Configuration and Provisioning, Troubleshooting of multiple vendors network technology, Repair and/or diagnosis of network cabling to include both copper and fiber optics. Security systems relating to AAA. Implementation of Network Management with a focus on compliance, SDWAN, and micro segmentation.
โ€ข Must possess a current IAT II or III certification (CompTIA Security+, CISSP). Additionally, Cisco Certification (CCNA, CCNP), PaloAlto Certification (NSP, SOP), Forescout Certification (FCSA, FCSE) are considered and highly recommended.
โ€ข Must be able to deploy on short notice for extended periods of time.
โ€ข Must be a US Citizen & fluent in English.
โ€ข Must be able to lift and carry loads of 50lbs or more and climb steep ladders and staircases.
โ€ข Must possess a valid U.S. Government SECRET security clearance and be TOP SECRET eligible for privileged access.
โ€ข Complete required security training as applicable, to include SERE Level B, ISOPREP, Cyber Awareness, and other related training, within 90 days of award, or within 5 days of departing designated homeport, whichever is sooner.
โ€ข Must have or obtain a non-diplomatic United States Passport with at least one year remaining before expiration, as this contract will require personnel to deploy at sea in foreign waters. (This can be obtained after hire within 30 days.)

โ€ข Combat operation experience/prior military experience.
โ€ข Industry certification in Cisco/Juniper/Palo Alto/Forescout administration.
โ€ข Experience in Medical IT environments, Navy or Defense Health Agency medical systems preferred.
โ€ข Experience with Government, Commercial Shipping, and Healthcare industry programs and standards, with familiarity of Department of War (DoW) and Department of the Navy (DoN) programs and policies.
โ€ข Experience with Campus, Wireless, Voice Services, Storage Networking, and fundamental SATCOM operations.
