As a Security Officer - Driver Patrol - Hospital in Springfield, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to control access, observe visitor activity, and report security-related concerns according to site procedures.
  • Support a professional environment by assisting with directions, de-escalating routine issues, and following post orders for daily operations and incident response.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
