Job description

Our Opportunity:

Chewy seeks a highly motivated, analytical, and enthusiastic Senior Financial Analyst to join our Commercial FP&A Finance team! Combining an understanding of Finance, and practical knowledge of financial documents while using data to make-and-drive decisions, this candidate will perform various financial planning and analysis processes to support key strategic decisions, drive Chewy growth, and ensure financial objectives are achieved.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform modeling and analytics required to synthesize large sets of data and produce concise outputs to provide recommendations and/or conclusions to leadership
  • Aid in the reporting and financial performance management frameworks for the business and help define key metrics and performance indicators to evaluate overall business performance
  • Work cross-functionally with the broader Chewy Finance, Merchandising, Marketing, Product, Supply Chain and Accounting teams to fully understand the business, systems, and overall operations
  • Actively participate in strategic planning processes, target setting, and annual/quarterly planning processes by building & updating forecast models and creating alignment between business and finance teams
  • Support financial reporting process for weekly and monthly business reviews
  • Coordinate the monthly close process ensuring books and records are accurately maintained in accordance with Chewy's policies and procedures
  • Effectively manage numerous projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

What You'll Need:

  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Management or Economics
  • 3+ years relevant finance experience with a basic understanding of GAAP and grasp of financial statements
  • Financial analysis and modeling skills, and experience in forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis
  • Advanced Excel (i.e. VLOOKUP, Data tables, pivot tables, etc.) skills
  • Ability to think creatively, be a self-start, work independently, deal with ambiguity, and meet tight deadlines / prioritize changing workloads
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Experience with Hyperion Smartview, Tableau, Oracle ERP, SQL coding

The base salary range for this role is $86,500 - $138,500.00.
  • The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant. C08+ positions may also be eligible for annual bonus.
