This role is a vital part of our Hose and Fittings Group, operating on the front line of industrial service and custom fabrication.

As an Assembler, you will be expected to fabricate assemblies and perform all warehouse functions to accurately pick and ship products. Understand and utilize Cross operating systems to consistently provide effective and efficient customer service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Fabricate hose assemblies from pick tickets
  • Understand and communicate customer directions related to product requests; communicate directly with the customer when changes are requested, backorders occur, or future order dates are changed
  • Pick orders correctly by matching the item and quantity picked to the pick ticket
  • Package orders for shipping using the appropriate packing material to protect

against damage during delivery; follow instructions & requirements as noted on the pick ticket
  • Deliver product to production customers, and other customer orders as needed
  • Assist counter sales associates with pulling orders, and building assemblies for counter customers when needed

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Fabricate hose assemblies per hose certification requirements
  • Restock parts bins from overstock storage
  • Perform special projects as assigned by Supervisor
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized warehouse
  • Remove pallets, break down plastic reels and package for recycling

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 1 to 2 years experience in a warehouse/stockroom environment preferred

  • Ability to handle 50 pound packages
  • Ability to stand and work in place for 2-3 hours
  • Capable of working in a physically demanding environment
  • Able to maintain focus and productivity in a fast-paced setting
