Job Description
As a Security Officer, you help keep our corporate offices safe, secure, and welcoming. This role blends security responsibilities with hospitality focused service, ensuring our guests, team members, and property are protected while creating a friendly and supportive environment. You maintain a visible presence, manage access points, respond to police, fire, or medical situations, and complete safety inspections and incident reports. By working closely with public safety partners and security leadership, you help ensure everyone feels safe and cared for. What You'll Do as a Security Officer:
  • Provide the initial response to all incidents of a Police, Fire or Medical nature and act accordingly within the scope of duties as a Security Officer.
  • Maintain a uniformed security presence at specified company interests.
  • Manage entry and exit control points at designated properties.
  • Monitor a proprietary monitoring station or front desk (fire alarm panel) as required by law and monitor Security surveillance system.
  • Conduct safety inspections as directed by policy and established procedure.
  • Maintain individual Security activity records, checklists and logs.
  • Write detailed and accurate incident reports as required using computer skills and emails.
  • Respond to basic service requests and perform preventative maintenance on the electronic guest room security system and in-room electronic safes if applicable.
  • Perform lost and found inventory control tasks.
  • Perform traffic control and parking enforcement duties as required.
  • Respond to any security related complaints and take appropriate actions.
  • Assist public safety officers in the performance of their duties as requested and/or required.
  • Perform key control and accounting duties.
  • Perform any other task, requested by management, within the scope of corporate policy.

Qualifications
What You Will Bring as a Security Officer:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, military, or a related field is required (minimum of 1 year)
  • Possession of a valid Unarmed Security Officer license (as required by the state of employment) is a plus; however, we will assist qualified candidates in obtaining this certification if needed
  • Certificate certificates in First Aid, CPR and AED highly preferred but not required
  • Prior hospitality or guest service experience strongly preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems used to complete reports, logs, and email communication
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure or emergency situations
  • Excellent judgment, integrity, and attention to detail

Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Required to pass a background check, drug test and motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
  • Required to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Requires physical stamina and the ability to work indoors and outdoors, remain on your feet for extended periods, climb stairs, and move quickly for short distances as needed
