Job description


This position involves both administrative and hands-on supervisory duties within a climate-controlled environment, with some exposure to smoke and loud noise. The Lead provides leadership and guidance to the Drop Count Associates, assists with the physical counting process, and is responsible for managing schedules and providing reports. The role requires physical exertion, including standing, walking, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The Lead must adhere to all security protocols, including wearing a uniform and steel-toed shoes.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee and assist with the removal and counting of cash proceeds from electronic gaming machines, ticket redemption machines, and table games.
  • Provide guidance to Drop Count Associates to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Coach, counsel, and train team members as needed, and provide input for performance evaluations.
  • Maintain and monitor equipment and supplies to ensure an effective working environment.
  • Coordinate drop schedules with casino operations and cage management.
  • Ensure all required reports are accurately prepared and submitted to Gaming Accounting on time.
  • Protect casino assets and report any suspicious activity to security or management.
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) with one year of experience in both drop and count processes is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have the ability to handle a large amount of money.
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must have completed some leadership training and exhibit leadership qualities.
  • Must be able to obtain a Cherokee Nation Gaming License and/or an Oklahoma Horse Racing License.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
