A Horse Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily care, health, and management of horses at equestrian facilities, farms, or riding schools. Their duties include feeding, grooming, exercising horses, maintaining stables, managing staff, and coordinating with veterinarians and farriers. Horse Managers also handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with safety and animal welfare regulations. The role requires strong knowledge of horse behavior, health care, and facility management.

Horse Managers often face challenges such as coordinating care for multiple horses, managing staff schedules, and ensuring that all animals receive appropriate nutrition and medical attention. Effective communication and strong organizational skills are crucial for handling these responsibilities. Additionally, staying up-to-date with best practices in equine health and welfare helps to address unexpected issues quickly.
