Job description
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated recent graduate or early-career professional who is passionate about the equine industry and interested in building a career in sales and business development.
The Role
As one of the first members of the US team, you'll spend most of your time visiting horse farms, breeding operations, training facilities, and farrier businesses across the Bluegrass region. You'll build relationships with equine professionals, introduce them to our products, and help grow our presence in the Kentucky horse community.
You'll be introducing two products:
- A farrier management platform (scheduling, horse records, invoicing) already successfully operating internationally.
- A horse owner and multi-stakeholder platform launching in September 2026.
What You'll Do
- Manage day-to-day outreach to existing app users/new prospects to build relationships and keep them engaged.
- Monitor account health remotely: track how customers are using the platform, flag any drop-off or issues, and follow up before problems become churn.
- Conduct structured customer check-in calls to understand how customers are using the product day-to-day.
- Surface customer pain points and feedback to share with the product and international teams.
- Support onboarding and adoption remotely to help new or inactive users get set up and comfortable with the platform via phone, without requiring an in-person visit.
- Prioritize and segment accounts for the field phase to identify top accounts and high-potential customers worth prioritizing once in-person farm visits begin.
- Build relationships with horse owners, breeding farms, training facilities, and farriers throughout the Lexington and Bluegrass region.
- Visit equine businesses and demonstrate our software solutions.
- Introduce new customers to our platforms and support them during onboarding.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, sales, clinics, and conferences across Kentucky.
- Gather customer feedback and market insights to help improve our products and customer experience.
- Work closely with the international team to support the company's US expansion.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Equine Science, Equine Management, Animal Science, Agriculture, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Recent graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of professional experience are encouraged to apply.
- Internships, student leadership, customer service, retail, sales, ambassador programs, or other customer-facing experience are highly valued.
- A genuine passion for the equine industry and enthusiasm for meeting and working with horse professionals.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable learning and demonstrating mobile applications and software products.
- Self-motivated, organized, and eager to learn in a growing business.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.
What's on Offer
- Opportunity to join an exciting international company during its US expansion.
- Training, mentorship, and ongoing support from an experienced global team.
- Competitive base salary plus performance-based commission.
- Career growth opportunities as the business expands.
- Lexington-based role with a mix of field work and home office.
- Health, dental, 401(k), expense account, and vehicle allowance.
