• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, enabling tailored interventions.
• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that consider their unique circumstances, preferences, and recovery goals.
• Implement evidence-based therapies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to promote client engagement and efficacy.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and healthy coping mechanisms, fostering empowerment through knowledge.
• Monitor client progress through regular check-ins and modify treatment plans as necessary to enhance outcomes and support ongoing recovery.
• Coordinate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for clients with complex needs.
• Stay updated on the latest research in mood disorder treatment to continually refine and improve therapeutic approaches.

This position primarily focuses on individuals struggling with mood disorders, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. You'll work closely with diverse client groups—ranging from individuals experiencing homelessness to those overcoming trauma from domestic abuse. Your role will involve understanding the multifaceted backgrounds of clients and tailoring approaches to meet their distinct needs, thus making a tangible difference in their recovery journey.

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Proven ability to establish a trusting therapeutic alliance through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A demonstrated commitment to empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental approach in client interactions.
