Job Description: Inventory/Quality Control (IC/QC) Supervisor

Location: McDonough, GA

Shift: 1st Shift (Mon–Thurs, 6:00 AM–4:00 PM)


Position Summary

The IC/QC Supervisor provides leadership and accountability for inventory control and quality operations while fostering teamwork, operational excellence, and a culture of continuous improvement. Oversee daily inventory accuracy and quality control operations within the distribution center. This role leads inventory research, reviews variance adjustments, and monitors quality performance.

The IC/QC Supervisor drives root cause analysis of inventory and quality discrepancies implements corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and leads continuous improvement initiatives that reduce inventory variance, damages, and process inefficiencies.

Additionally, this position provides direct supervision to IC/QC associates, ensuring workflow coordination, team development, and consistent execution of inventory and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Promote a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and ensure daily cycle count execution, analyze results, identify trends, and ensure timeley resolution of inventory discrepancies.
  • Lead daily inventory control and quality control operations across inbound, storage, and outbound processes.
  • Review the Perpetual Inventory Report daily and take action to address discrepancies.
  • Review inventory discrepancy research, including hold tasks, empty bins, old wave planning slots, aging inventory, and high variances.
  • Ensure accurate processing of inventory adjustments for damaged, misallocated, or inaccurate items.
  • Monitor adjustment and defect trends, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Develop and maintain reports, logs, and audit summaries; communicate key findings to leadership.
  • Lead internal inventory and quality audits, ensuring compliance with company standards for product handling, labeling, and shipments, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Supervise IC/QC associates, including training, performance management, and daily task assignments.
  • Provide workflow coordination, guidance, and escalation support for issue resolution.
  • Ensure continuity of operations, staffing alignment, and completion of daily IC/QC tasks.
  • Support project planning, resource coordination, and cross‑department initiatives to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
  • Analyze inventory and quality data to identify trends, reduce defects, improve accuracy, and support operational decision-making.


Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of Inventory Control, Quality Control, or Warehouse leadership experience (required).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency with WMS, RF scanners, Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Ability to distinguish systemic vs. physical inventory issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs; forklift experience required.
