Automotive Controller - Southaven Honda & Kia (Lou Sobh Automotive Group)
Lou Sobh Automotive Group is seeking an experienced Automotive Controller to oversee the accounting operations for our multi-franchise dealerships (Honda & Kia) in Southaven, MS.
This is a key leadership role responsible for managing dealership financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and full compliance with corporate, manufacturer, and regulatory requirements.
The Controller will play a critical role in supporting operational performance across both rooftops and ensuring financial integrity across all dealership functions.
What You'll Do
  • Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations for two dealerships
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements and month-end close
  • Manage and review the general ledger and supporting schedules
  • Supervise accounting staff including AP, AR, payroll, title, and billing functions
  • Oversee bank reconciliations, cash management, and floorplan accounting
  • Review schedules, commissions, and departmental performance reporting
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer, state, and federal reporting requirements
  • Prepare and submit required filings including sales tax and tangible property tax returns
  • Oversee HR-related administrative functions within the business office
  • Respond to internal and external financial reporting requests
  • Maintain strong internal controls and accounting accuracy across both stores

What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of dealership accounting experience (required)
  • Prior Controller or senior accounting leadership experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of dealership financial statements and processes
  • DealerTrack experience strongly preferred
  • Experience supervising and training accounting staff
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-rooftop environment
  • Ability to work occasional Saturdays at month-end close

Schedule
  • Full-time, in-office position
  • Monday-Friday (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
  • Occasional Saturday work required at month-end close
