Description
Assists in the daily administration of the YMCA After-School Program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
? Assist students in completing daily homework assignments.
? Check to make sure homework is done correctly.
? Help record and maintain the student information.
? Supervise and monitor participants during hand washing and bathroom breaks.
? Supervise and monitor participants during indoor programming and free play.
? Supervise and monitor participants during outdoor programming and free play.
? Provide appropriate First-Aid to participants as the need arises.
? Set up for nutritional snacks.
? Clean up areas after snacks.
? Clean up after participants have left.
? Other duties as assigned by Child Care Director, Child Care Coordinator, or Site Director.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS
? Ability to read, interpret and communicate information effectively
? Ability to work in groups
? Ability to solve practical problems
? Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time
? Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
QUALIFICATIONS
? At least 16 years of age.
