Job Summary:

Ruggable is on a mission to reinvent the way people think about their homes, starting from the ground up. We believe design should be beautiful, functional, and washable. As we continue to expand our product assortment and innovate within the home category, we are looking for a detail-driven and technically skilled Pre-Production Print/Textile Designer to join our Textile Design team.

As our Pre-Production Print/Textile Designer, you will play a critical role in translating creative concepts into production-ready artwork for textile manufacturing. This position focuses on print and textile design with a strong emphasis on size scaling across multiple product dimensions. You will bring deep expertise in print file setup, color accuracy, repeats, and textile production processes, ensuring that every design is executed with precision and consistency. With a strong technical foundation and an eye for detail, you will help bridge the gap between design and production by delivering high-quality files that meet both creative intent and manufacturing requirements.

What You'll Do:

As a Pre-Production Print/Textile Designer, you will be a key partner to our textile design and product teams. Your focus will be on accuracy, efficiency, production readiness, and precise size scaling across product assortments.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and finalizing textile print files for production, including repeats, color setup, and technical specifications
  • Scaling designs accurately across multiple sizes while maintaining design integrity and proportion
  • Ensuring accuracy of layered files, including overlays, textures, and distressing elements
  • Support color consistency across various production formats to ensure alignment from digital to physical output
  • Reviewing and adjusting artwork based on samples and production feedback
  • Managing and organizing files with strong version control, naming conventions, and calendar adherence
  • Prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards and meeting deadlines
  • Identifying workflow efficiencies and contributing to process improvements

What You'll Need To Have:

Required:

  • 5 to 7 years of textile design or pre-production experience, with a strong portfolio of professional achievements
  • Mac profiency is required for this role
  • Bachelor's Degree in Textile Design or a related field
  • Expert level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and strong expertise across Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong experience working with layered files, including overlays, textures, and distressing techniques
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a detail-oriented mindset, strong ownership, and consistent calendar adherence
  • Proven ability to prioritize, multi-task, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality
