$20-24 per hour guaranteed against commissions


Responsibilities

  • The Interior Designer works with the Gabberts brand to plan and design residential, commercial, and leisure spaces for Gabberts clients. The Interior Designer analyzes client requirements and advises them on interior design factors such as floor and elevation planning, color palettes, window treatments, flooring and room cohesion, among other factors.
  • The Gabberts brand emphasizes the importance of the relationship between designer and client. As such, the Interior Designer builds strong client relationships through effective communication and follow through.
  • The Interior Designer prepares sketches, presentations, and facilitates home visits for clients when necessary.
  • Continues professional development by utilizing all resources and joining professional associations to stay current with changing industry standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:


Education: Degree in Interior Design or related field.


Experience: Minimum of five years of direct sales experience in full service interior design.


Physical Demands: Moderate physical demands required. The employee is required to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time. Light cleaning including wiping down surfaces, dusting, and vacuuming is required. The employee may be required to push, pull, and lift furniture and accessories up to 50 pounds.


Other: Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
