Home Inspector Assistants support licensed home inspectors by helping with on-site inspections of residential properties. Their duties often include preparing inspection tools, taking notes, photographing property features, and assisting in identifying issues such as structural defects or safety hazards. They may also help organize inspection reports and communicate findings to clients. This role provides valuable hands-on experience for those interested in becoming certified home inspectors themselves.

What are the typical responsibilities of a home inspector assistant during a property inspection?

You may help take photographs, record notes as the lead inspector examines different systems, and organize reports for clients. Collaboration is key, as you’ll often communicate directly with the inspector and sometimes with homeowners or real estate agents. This hands-on role offers valuable learning opportunities for those interested in becoming certified inspectors in the future.
