Job description


DEL-AIR Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration, Inc. is a growing industry leader with seven locations serving Central Florida - Clermont, Davenport, Tampa, Jacksonville, Melbourne, Sanford (headquarters), and Sarasota.


Primary Responsibilities: Remove, replace, and start-up air conditioning and heating equipment by performing various tasks to A/C units in residential homes.


Specific Duties & Tasks:

  • Interact with Retail Salesperson on abnormal circumstances for the job
  • Communicate with a customer in-person, the job to be performed prior to starting
  • Perform walk-through inspection of the job site and consult work order requirements
  • Remove and replace all equipment while protecting the customer’s property
  • Perform minor carpentry work (moldings, platforms, doors, attic access, etc.)
  • Install, modify, or repair air ducts, indoor units, and outdoor units
  • Braze and solder various metals to connect piping
  • Disassemble indoor or outdoor units and replace defective parts
  • Maintain the required tool list for the position
  • Maintain cleanliness and fuel levels of company vehicles during their off-duty time
  • Electrical work to code when required
  • Collect cash or check payments from customers when required
  • Maintain a clean and neat personal appearance
  • Other duties may be assigned


Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience relating to HVAC residential installation preferred.
  • EPA certification required; Universal type preferred
  • Eligible to legally work in the United States
  • Ability to obtain a valid driver’s license.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Applicable military experience will be considered.
  • Successfully complete a background check and drug screen.
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment.
