Location:8801 S Greenwood Ave. Chicago, IL 60619.

**No CDL Required**


Schedule:Part-time 20-25 hours/week, flexible weekday schedule with summers off. Must be able to work BOTH morning and afternoon routes.
Compensation:Paid training - no experience necessary. Starting pay $20.50/hour ($18.00/hour paid during training)

ASpecial Education School Van Driveris responsible for transporting students safely and on time from their pickup point to school and back. This includes performing pre-trip inspections, ensuring child safety, and maintaining compliance with DOT regulations.

Qualifications

  • Three (3) years of driving experience with no breaks/gaps and no more than 1 moving violation in that time period.

  • Candidates cannot have any DUI/DWI on their driving record.

  • Must be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical.

  • A pre-employment background check and drug screen are required.

  • Must be at least 23 years of age.

  • Valid Driver's License.

  • Must be able to obtain a School Bus Eligibility Receipt from the DMV. (Required at the time of interview)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training $18.00/hour

  • Safely transport students to and from school and activities

  • Arrive at destinations on schedule

  • Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections

  • Conduct child checks after each route

  • Use navigation tools to plan efficient routes

  • Maintain a clean, fueled, and well-maintained vehicle

  • Keep accurate mileage and maintenance records

  • Interact with students, parents, and staff in a professional manner

  • Perform other duties as assigned
